Super Bowl

I LOVE football. I am always a bit sad when the Super Bowl comes because it means so many months without watching a good game.

Last night, as I watched, I didn't have a real stake in the game. I didn't care who won or lost. I leaned more toward the Seahawks for many reasons. But I can be happy for the Steelers as well. Regardless, though, I DO get caught up in the excitement of it all. I yell at the TV. I clap sometimes.

As I watch games, I do find myself wondering....what would happen if we, as Christians, got as enthusiastic about our faith as football fans do their teams? They watch the game with such passion and zeal. Wouldn't it be cool if we could cheer on "God's Team" with that same fervor?

We just might set the world on fire and rock the world---even better than the Rolling Stones. We just might get people excited who weren't excited before. We just might help one more person raise a trophy high over their head on judgement day as they enter the Kingdom. And we just might help more people attend the ultimate Super Bowl Celebration.

Go Team!!
