I've decided that I have the "Blogger Blahs." I really don't know WHAT to post, so I haven't posted for a couple of days. Here are a couple of random thoughts and things going on here:
* School starts tomorrow. It looks like we're going to be in for a day then have a day off for the hurricane. Our neighbors to the south have already had school cancelled.
* DH is out of town, so the boys and I are preparing without him. Now we are perfectly capable of doing so, but it doesn't mean I don't miss him. He normally takes control of all prep work.
* Even though he's out of town, he sent the boys a list of "to-do's" to take care of things around here.
* That is just one of the things I love about him...and reasons we've been married for 21 years. He takes care of us so well.
* Took DSs 3 and 4 shopping yesterday. We got some school clothes. Nothing like shopping last minute. But today we went for more supplies...even MORE last minute. Oh well.
* Stayed up to watch Michael Phelps win his 8th gold medal last night. I enjoyed it. But I have to say that I disagreed with his teammate who basically told the world that Phelps was better than all other athletes out there. The guy said Phelps win was bigger and better than the Tour de France and other competitions. I disagree. Yeah the guy is good. In fact, he's downright amazing...but so are so many young athletes out there.
* DS 2 is starting at the community college tomorrow. There will be four of us up and out before seven. That'll be fun!
* Now I'm cooking dinner and planning to wind this household down cause morning's going to come EARLY for all of us!!

Oh, back to school for you!! Wow..short summer don't you think? I am back to almost normal now. Had washing to do for us up the Yang-Yang!! You know just two of us but we HAD a lot!!
Glad that Michael Phelps got the 8th gold medal but he would be the first to say that everyone there deserves it too. He seems like a nice humble young man.

Have fun tomorrow..Oh and be careful!! I did not know the hurricane was that close to you...
I have always resisted the end of summer with passion! .. or maybe depression - and with the tropical depression, otherwise known as "hurricane", I can understand the "Blogger Blahs".
The end of summer, the beginning of school AND a hurricane? Wow! That's a bummer and a half!!
Stay safe.

Yeah. I hear ya. I got those blogger blues myself. :) Hope you guys are safe. Praying for you. By the looks of the weather, we'll be feeling it too! :)
Do not fret about the blahs! We all get them! Sometimes I just don't have a bloomin' thing to say -- that's when I thank God for Wordless Wednesdays! Or Talkless Tuesday... or Mundane Monday... or whatever it NEEDS to be! Of course - if Daisy can stay away for 3 weeks, we should be able to get away with a day or two every now and then too - huh? Anyway... sounds like you guys have been really BUSY gettin' ready for school! And you'll all be back in the swing of things before you know it! (I don't MISS that though!) LOL! Be safe in the Hurricane... don't risk life & limb to get me a good picture!
I had to disagree with his teammate as well. Come on... better than the Tour De France! Be realistic. While I highly doubt Lance Armstrong could swim as well as Phelps did - I know Phelps could not ride a bike for 6-8 hours a day, averaging over 20 MPH for over 3 weeks.
Each sport is different. No doubt Phelps is at the pinnacle of the swimming world, but to say that his the best athlete ever... come on.
I have the blogging blahs as well. I may take a few days off just to recharge my battery!
Shoot me an email if you'd like me to help:)
