1. Ate at both French and Italian restaurants (and didn't have to pay the bill)!
2. Rode in a horse drawn carriage through the city at night.
3. Spent time in the Women's Bathroom on the 96th floor of the John Hancock Building...OK I think it's one of the BEST views in the place!!!
4. Nearly received whiplash during at least two harrowing cab rides! Can you say fast and brakes together???
5. Met many children's book authors. Had several books signed to share back at school.
6. Saw the Fountain that was featured in the opening song to the Married with Children TV show...think Al Bundy...."Love and marriage, Love and marriage, Goes together like a horse and carriage."
7. Drove past Soldier Field...saw Navy Pier....and drove down the shores of Lake Michigan.
8. Watched several peoplel walking their dogs about 10:30 in their PJ's!!
9. Saw the Blue Man Group and the 45th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
10. Ate Chicago deep dish pizza...and a Chicago style hot dog.
11. Enjoyed the TULIPS...my FAVORITE flower! They are calling downtown a "Tulip Festival" right now.
12. Visited with and reconnected with several professional friends from around the globe.
13. Met six people with whom I work regularly, but have never seen face to face. Until this trip, we had only sent manuscripts and materials back and forth via Internet and email.

Wow you sure have seen and done a lot this week!
I don't understand the whole PJ wearing thing? Why would you want to wear you PJ's in public? I guess it's a new fashion statement?
I love to ride those horse drawn carrigaes.
What fun you have had this week.
Great TT list!
sounds like you've had a great time. I've never been to chicago :)
I think we need to re-visit our Chicago "shopping" trip! It sounds much prettier in the springtime.
Aren't the tulips wonderful right now?
I love horse carriage riding. I've done that here when I live, well downtown (Nashville).
Wow. Sounds amazing. And meeting the authors sounds very cool, too! (I'm a children's librarian...)
Ah, Chicago. I've always wanted to visit Chicago. Not turning green, really.
Love your blog, BTW. Just found it.
Great list - the horsedrawn carriage one made me feel kind of dreamy :)
Happy T13 :)
It sounds like a wonderful time. I'm envious, but I'm going to the Romance Writers of American conference in Atlanta in July, so I'll curb my jealousy for now!
Thanks for visiting my list.
#2 sounds wonderful.
I saw BlueMan Group in Vegas a while back and I had a great time!
You've had an exciting week!
I'm dying to know......was there a view from the bathroom, or just the building in general?!?!?!?!
Clarification: The view from the John Hancock building is all around it...there is just a GREAT view from the women's bathroom.
I am coming home today (Friday)....I am excited to go home and see my dh and sons...but I also am a bit sad.
Ohh I love tulips too .. did you get lots of pictures?
and doesn't the food always taste so much better when you don't have to pay ?..lol
Sounds like you had a great time!
