OK I have tried three times this morning to put a NEW window picture in here, but blogger is not cooperating. So no window this week...only the story.
I went home Friday and found out that our new TV has arrived. The large screen that we got around Christmas started smoking a few weeks ago...so warranty upheld and they sent us an even larger TV for the trouble. Not a bad deal except it didn't work at first. Come to think of it, the lady at Phillips just told dh, "Sure we can send you a larger model...." She never indicated that it would WORK! DH was working on that when I arrived home...and I must say...I think it was grating on his nerves a bit.
In the midst of that, he was finalizing the deal for ds 2's new car. This has been a LONG process and I am sure that ds 2 really doesn't believe he is going to have one....and if the dealer was any more persnickety over "little stuff" on Friday, he might not have that one. I think that all worked out though and the car should be here this week.
And on top of both of these things, one of the laptops is not going to be able to be repaired. Dh was not happy about this either.
We rode down to church (35 miles) and it was a pretty quiet drive...dh must have been contemplating all the TV, Computer and CAR stuff he had just gone through.
We had a fun time at the fish fry, though. The fish fry was sponsored by the Youth in an effort to raise funds for their upcoming mission trip to Belize! DSs 1 and 2 are going, so they were down there working. We had a nice evening visiting with friends down there. And the food wasn't bad either!
Saturday was CROPPING day!!! I cropped for EIGHT hours and finished an entire year's scrapbook (minus journaling). I went with my friend Sandy and we had a wonderful relaxing afternoon.
Sunday we had church. I was up for Children's church (which I have been coordinating for almost 3 years). I have been praying for someone to take it over and making appeals for help. Sunday, help arrived! I am SO excited because as I transition her into Children's Church Coordinator, I'll be able to do more in Women's Ministry (which is where my heart is right now).
Last night, I wrapped up some teacher's guides that I needed to get written.
And today, I'm back at work for the five day grind. I truly am thankful that we have the weekends to rest, rejuvinate, and rejoice...it gets me ready for the week ahead.
Next weekend...I'll be in Chicago...I can't wait to share THAT weekend window with you! ;-)
