This is my smallest nativity. It is in one half of a walnut shell. I have written this before, but it was given to me by a gentleman in our church who had served in WWII. While in Germany, he bought this nativity and kept it with him all those years until he gave it to me. He came to my house and saw my nativity collection (scroll down to see it) and said he knew that I'd take care of it. I was more than touched to get it. He's gone now, but a piece of him lives on here in this little walnut shell.

I love this! We had a nativity scene when I was a child that somehow we lost the manger to. (it wasn't ME! i promise!) At any rate, the baby that we had fit perfectly into a walnut shell -- so that became our new manger! Your little nativity reminded me about that!
