I saw this meme at Lauren's and perhaps a couple of other places. It's been a while since I've done a meme, so I decided to play along too!
Christmas Meme
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? I LOVE wrapping paper, but I DO lean toward gift bags when I leave all the wrapping until the last 24 hours before the big day. I confess that my boys have wrapped their OWN presents (in a non-descript box) for me in a pinch a couple of times.
2. Real tree or artificial? Artificial. I have five trees total. We used to get a real one for the living room, but I have to have a nine foot tree, so I quit putting out so much money just to throw it away each year.
3. When do you put up the tree? As soon as possible after Thanksgiving.
4. When do you take the tree down? Before New Years' Eve.
5. Do you like eggnog? YEP.
6. Favorite gift received as a child? My doll bed that I played with for years.
7. Do you have a nativity scene? I collect them so I have over 80 now.
8. Hardest person to buy for? My DH. .
9. Easiest person to buy for? My kids.
10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Hmmm...it wasn't the worst, but I THOUGHT it was at the time. My Grandparents wrapped my present in a Christmas Card box and I thought they bought me cards when I tore open the wrap. I learned the lesson of looking inside because it was a brand new camera! I was so happy after they coaxed me to lift the lid!
11. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail with UPDATES! I hate getting a letter that is just signed by someone and has no message.
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? By far: It's a Wonderful Life.
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? December 26th--I shop all year long.
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Yes, I have recycled for things like the office party and such. Never with family and close friends.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? I like it all! My favorite "treat" is Chex Mix, which we call Scrapples in my family.
16. Clear lights or colored on the tree? We have clear lights on our formal tree and colored lights in the family room and in the boys' rooms.
17. Favorite Christmas song? I'll Be Home for Christmas, Breath of Heaven, and Mary Did You Know?
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Home with little side trips to see family.
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Yes.
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Angel...I had to go search out a new one last year and couldn't believe how hard they are to find!
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Christmas morning, but the boys open ONE present on Christmas Eve that I pick...of course, it's their Christmas PJ's. I'm sure my grown sons appreciate this so much...but I LOVE getting the PJ picture even still.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? People with limited patience and greed
23. What I love most about Christmas? Giving

I am glad you played along! I love that you still give your sons Christmas PJs! I am sure they love it, even if they try to act macho about it!
That's a lot of nativity sets! Do you actually get to put them all out or do you choose your favorites from year to year?

You have 80 nativity scenes..WOW that is a lot Susan. You must have been collecting them for a long long time I am waiting for my MRI to see what is wrong with my knee. What a mess!! I just love having problems..don't you...?? Sandy
I have seen this a few times and think I might just have to do it myself. We're starting the pj's thing this year...mostly because Kendra needs some and I want some! ha!
I love Nativity sets too! I only have one, but it's part of a big collection of pieces. (It's by Fontanini.) You can get a whole Bethlehem village! Wise men, shepherds, kings, animals, angels, the works!
I agree with you about the angel. I've been looking for a new one for a few years. I can't find one I like anywhere. They just don't make them like they used to and it's sad.
