As you probably know, October is often focused on Breast Cancer Awareness. Each year I find myself supporting OTHER people and efforts for this worthy cause. This year, when a colleague at school sent out an email inviting us to participate as a team, I decided it was time I jump in and do something more than just make a single donation.
So, a team of us will be walking together on October 11th. I have never solicited support for anything via this blog, but I know that many of you are as passionate about this as I am. So, this post will remain here this week for three reasons:
1. If you are not supporting this cause in any other way, perhaps you can make a contribution to our team. You can click on this link to go to my personal page.
2. If you cannot make a contribution at this time, or you are giving in other areas...PLEASE do not let October come and go without encouraging the women you know and love to make sure they are aware of , and practicing, good breast care.
3. Please pray for our team as we work to raise awareness at our school. I work with many young teachers who often think they are immune to this horrible disease. I am excited to be able to share this message on our campus.

Good morning Susan, I want to wish you and your group a good walk on October 11th; I will be giving money at Curves for the fight against Breast cancer..our oldest daughter won against breast cancer and has been cancer free for 6 years..Baba

Thanks for the reminder about breast cancer month. I think I will blog about it since my husband's cousin (who is in her 20's) was just diagnosed and needs A LOT of treatment.
Many of my family members have fought this fight too.
