Thursday Thirteen #38

Thirteen Things SUSAN has (or will) cooked in the past two weeks.

You have to understand that I DON'T cook! When DH is away, it is SO tempting to order in for dinner. Especially when we're all moving in such different directions. I have vowed, though, to cook...and we have not eaten out once. We purchased a cookbook with all new recipes and here are some of them we've tried (or will be trying in the next few days):

1. Mexican Style Ravioli

2. Greek Tacos

3. Cowboy Chili (with BBQ pork and black beans)

4. Honey Biscuits (from scratch)

5. Southwest Pizza

6. Greek Salad

7. Pork and Yellow Rice

8. Pepperoni-Tortellini Supper

9. Overnight Chicken Enchilada Bake

10. Chicken with Red Pepper Sauce

11. Ham and Cheese Melts

12. Creamed Chipped Beef on Toast

13. Sauteed Spinach with Garlic Chicken

My TT isn't up yet, but it will be by the end of the day. I'm off to shop 'til I drop.

I know a FIL who would like to try some of those. I love chipped beef on toast.

Oh well, maybe someday I will get a taste.

You are such a good encourager so now it's my turn. Good job on setting a goal and sticking to it!

The homemade meals are cheaper and in most cases taste just as good. And definetly better for us. :)

As a recipiant of your encouragement I wanted to say thanks too! :)

I don't do the Thursday 13, but I do the Friday's Feast, so come take a look!

I would have loved to see some of your recipes! ;-)

Such a challenge to cook on my tired nights. Last night---Pizza orderd in, and big gree salads I cut veggies for myself. ;-)

have a great day!

Now if those Greek Tacos are from the same place my Greek Taco receipe is from...THEY ROCK. My husband & I loved them. Let me know what you make as a side dish. I couldn't think of anything good to compliment them.
