And the band played on....

Several months ago, I wrote about my boys' band and their first gig.

Tonight is the "second gig". They will, again, be playing in our local coffee shop. Everytime I walk through what has become the obstacle course of cords, instruments, stands, and stuff in my living room, I think "It's WORTH IT!" It is, right?

I hope they will always know that we supported their efforts.

I hope they will see that they had a place that allowed them to create and dream.

I hope they will see that this time in their lives is so special.

I hope they will look back one day (maybe in my well put-together living room) and think what they used to "do to the place"!

I hope they will continue to have vision for themselves.

Yes, I believe it's worth it.

And for me, it's taught me to balance and watch my step....both lessons that apply in so many ways to our everyday lives.
