Blog Party--STICKY POST

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Scroll down for current post... this will be at the top until March 9th.

I can't resist a great party!! This is too much fun. I have visited some VERY cool blogs today and keep "hopping to more and more parties"....it's been a great time!! Soooo...I'm diving in, too. Do you like my party banner? DS 3 made it for me. Isn't he the greatest???

WELCOME TO MY PARTY!!!

First, let me introduce you to my family. They LOVE a good party:

| View Show | Create Your Own
Now...DS 3 insisted that I have chips and dip here for guests...so...here ya' go....I hope you like them. And NO party would be complete without my FAVORITE beverage.....DIET Coke!!

I've been blogging for almost two years...thanks to my SIL, Heather for introducing me to this brand new world. I can't really remember life before blogging. As I was decorating for this party, one of my boys asked me, "What would you do if you were told you couldn't blog anymore?" I certainly would survive...but I can sure think of many many people who I'd "miss"...including those I've met in person like Mary and Sandy .

The most amazing thing about the whole blogosphere (for me) is the number of people who are seriously testifying to their faith every single day via the World Wide Web. How cool is that??? I love being able to get on here and talk about my relationship with JESUS and how He has changed my life. But I also like to be able to continue to "work out my faith" via words and pictures and blogging in general. Knowing that others are on the same journey is refreshing and powerful to me!

At first I had decided "not" to participate in The Ultimate Blog Party...but I KNOW that there are so many neat people to meet and things to read...that I decided to do it. I hope to get around and meet many of you this week.

And I'm glad you stopped by for it! Sign in to let me know you were here...tell me about your favorite thing about blogging and parties...then, come back again sometime...OK??

Thanks for stopping by. This is turning out to be one great party!!

I read the post about TMI and, although he is a bit young maybe your son could use my other little trick for getting thoughts out of my head. I keep 1 post-it note nearby to write small thoughts down to share with my family at dinner time.

Now THIS is a blog that Feels like a party!!! Awesome!

Hey--how are you enjoying The Kite Runner? I read it probably a year and a half ago. It was so sad and gripping..... For me it was one of those books that I kind of wished I had never read because of how hard it was, but once I was into it I couldn't stop.

I do some book reviews on my site, and am also a Christian mom of six kids. :) Come on by!

I agree with you about how amazing it is to have so many share their faith. That's one reason I keep blogging.

I love the story of your eight year old. He sounds exactly like my son--too much information in head=blabber mouth. :0) He talks and talks and talks.

Your family is adorable--love the slide show!

Thanks for stopping by my party! I agree, it's so neat to have a place to freely and openly share about the Lord. I am amazed at how the Lord works.

I read a few of the posts up on your blog right now. Can I just comment on several posts right here?

I love to hear about how God is teaching them through different experiences. I will probably be back later on to read more about your new church and the transition to your husband's new job.

"the test" drove me bonkers too. I taught in Ohio for 5 years. While I agree with your first point that tests aren't necessarily bad, I can also say that "the test" (and a few other factors) has just about ruined education in Ohio. Sad.

BTW - do you administer the test? Nothing. More. Boring!!!

And you mentioned that Charlie Brown Christmas special. I absolutely start crying every time Linus starts reciting the passage from Luke about the birth of Jesus. As for the blog feed... I have had trouble with mine as well. Did you just switch to the new blogger? That's what brought mine on. Sadly, I have no help to offer. I notified bloglines b/c I thought maybe the problem was with them, and they seem to have fixed it for me.

Hey - thanks for the party and for stopping by mine as well.

I love your header and quote up-top. So true! Made me laugh.

I feel for your time of transition. I appreciate the positive attitude you are conveying here, a flexibility and a teachable spirit.
I am always so thankful to run across bloggers who don't puddle into negativity as they explain their challenges.

*Blessings on your day!*

Well... I'm not a mom... not even close. I'm just a single, christian lady looking at life with wide eyes and trying to figure out what God has in mind for me! :)

I'm just learning what life is like outside of college. Man is there ever a lot to learn! That's what makes life so amazing!

Hi Susan,

Well, I'm late, of course, but I made it! What a great party. My word, that lobster on your son's plate is huge! I wanted to reach into my screen and yank it away from him. LOL

Thank you for stopping by my little party. The food wasn't nearly as good at my place. Uh, there wasn't any. What a great hostess I am. :-)

I appreciate the visit and hope you'll come back soon. It's nice to meet you!

Wow, thats a lot of comments. I think that your DS3 is a genius! Making that great banner at the top. Animated to! Thats awesome. He is so cool. Hope you have a great party!
This is the best one i've been to. That banner kind of makes everything look really good.

Susan said...

Just dropped in and didn't know you were having a party. Does that mean I crashed it? I had to comment about how much I enjoyed your comments about so many people writing of their faith and walk with Christ. I feel exactly the same.

Anonymous said...

Yeah - I finally made it over here :) I apologize for my late visit...Don't know what happened to last week. I guess I was a little overwhelmed -- to say the least...

I love your post header your son created for you. I also enjoy the picture collage you have created. Very cool idea...

I totally agree with you on people testifying about their faith, their love for Jesus.

Thanks again for stopping by last week...

Blessings to you and yours...

Hello! I'm here, I'm sorry I'm late. I hope I didn't miss too much.
I read the fishing so early in the morning post. Oh my, I think I would have had a heart attack. And I can completely see my 7 year old doing that, except we have no pond and no fishing gear! But she has that personality! LOL!
