DS 3 took this photo while driving in northern Kentucky. It has stuck with me since he posted it on his Facebook wall for many reasons. First, because I love the view. Second, because it reminds me so much of life in general. Lately I have been on what seems such a long and winding road. The twists and turns have taken me places I neither expected or, in some cases, desired. Yet one thing is clear every twist and turn has a lesson (or two or ten) to be learned.
This picture is a reminder that there is beauty at every turn. Sometimes we just have to look harder for it. It also reminds me that the road DOES go somewhere. I may not know where it's going to end up...but it does take us where we need to go. And if it's the "wrong road" there are generally places to get off and go a different direction.
For that, I'm thankful!

Love this analogy and oh so true!!! Life is a journey that's for sure and the joy truly is the journey itself.
So true! Going with the flow is hard for me since I'm a rather calculated and organized person--but God has been leading me on windy roads and I'm learning to lean on Him more and more. I like everything planned...by me...but God has other ideas, and His are always better! :)
Great thoughts here, Susan! I love the visual reminder in that pic too, and I don't want to forget your words: There is beauty at every turn.
Beautiful picture. Thanks for sharing it and your thoughts!
It's all about the journey...
wait a minute... he took this picture WHILE DRIVING??? (I hope you meant while RIDING!)
