Just an observation....

I have been a "boy Mom" for 21 years and I still don't get the "healing power" of a guys' wrestling "match". With all my boys, with perhaps the exception of DS 3, they could go from funk to fun in a blink with one good wrestling match. And they like it! The head locks. The tapouts. The holds. All of it. They still scare me some...they sound like they're dying at times...then they come up smiling! I think someone should do a study on the healing power of the wrestling match...shoot, maybe someone already has.

It's something my female brain will NEVER understand. I just know to move the furniture and pray that no one gets hurt!

It used to frustrate me. Finally I decided they were doing it for my benefit. Without an audience, they may not enjoy it so much. So whenever they started wrestling, I told them to take it outside. I did this when it was in fun, and when they were really angry. When it was for fun, they'd continue outside, when it was in anger, they'd stop. I know! I don't get it either. Men!

I don't understand it either, but I do like it better than the female way of brooding and holding grudges forever. I think we could learn a little bit fomr them getting their frustration and energy out and then moving on!

Oh ain't it the truth?! When they were little they spent a season on the wrestling team and I couldn't take it. I was sure somebody's neck was going to get broken. Now as adults my eldest son AND my son-in-law want to be professional wrestlers! Yea... right! But they do the ameteur thing... I don't get it! The youngest - Derek - has decided wrestling might not be so much fun!
