1. Girl - Well...duh! But you know what? I must tell you that while I like all things "girl", I don't like "girl drama". Yesterday I was talking to someone who has friends that are in their late 40's acting like they are teens again with all the drama. I can't stand it.
2. Give - I LOVE to give things to other people. If I could "be" anything, and had the right resources, I'd love to be a Philanthropist. It blesses me to be able to give to those in need especially.
3. Graduate - I have a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Education. I'm toying with the idea of going for the EdD or PhD. We'll see.
4. Getaway - I love to get away from the norm once in a while. I'm so excited because I just found out that I'm going to get away with my cousin and some friends this summer for a Caribbean Cruise! It's going to be great fun!
5. Goals - I would not have called myself "goal-oriented" in the first 20 or so years of my life. Now, however, I have some goals and dreams and I find myself working a bit more with my goals in mind.
6. Goalies - While we're hovering around the word "goal", I cannot help but think how many times my boys have played this position on the soccer field. As a mother, and a spectator, it can make you VERY nervous! (I'm sure DH would tell you that this is because of my #1 G-word, I am a girl.)
7. Grateful - I have so much to be grateful for! God has given to me richly and abundantly and I am 120% (Yes, FIL, I know that's not possible) BLESSED!
8. Glare - I am pretty certain that those who know me best would tell you that I have a glare when I am frustrated, mad or angry. In fact, my boss once told me that he'd love to play poker with me because of it. I wear it on my face, no doubt.
9. Glow - I love the glow of a fire or a candle. It makes me warm inside and out. And it makes me peaceful.
10. Going - I love to go places and be on the go. It's fun to find new and exciting places to visit and learn about.
11. Grace - I am 100% saved by Grace. When I think about God's grace, it leaves me speechless. It's so mindblowing to me!
12. Grammar - I hate finding grammatical errors in written work. When I published my first book, the word "rhythm" was spelled "thythm" in like 20 pt. font. I was absolutely MORTIFIED! I had to learn that it happens to authors all the time.
13. Grandma - I am so blessed to still have one Grandma! She's a blessing to me. I love hearing from her via computer and when I get to visit with her. And someday, I hope to follow my "Grandparents" footsteps when I have my own grandchildren to love.

THIS is what makes us good buddies! I've been a "wannabe philanthropist" for a looooooong time -- drives my hubs crazy!
And goalies ROCK!!! It is nerve-wracking watching your kid in that position though! But hey! When they're good, it's GOOD!!!
Great G list! I'm up to "I" today...
Grammar errors drive me crazy too, although I know I make my share of them!
I am with you on the grammatical errors. I know there are some on my blog, but I really try to avoid them!
Also, for some reason I am not surprised that you emotions are clearly seen in your facial expressions. I have never met you in person, but your passion shows in your writing. I wouldn't expect otherwise from your body language! :)
What a great list, Susan!
You are blessed to still have your grandma...and wow, a Caribbean cruise! How fun!
I'm off for California the day after tomorrow...come over and say farewell if you have time! :)
AND you will be a grandmother some day when the time is right...Boy what cute little ones they are going to be too.

My son was a goalie all through high school and was very good. I was glad he chose soccer over football. You are blessed to have your grandma. I never knew mine.
Wow... some pretty good words.
May God give you a great weekend.
I am sooooo there with you on the girl thing of not liking drama.. and I have never been a screamer..
My dad use to wonder if I would EVER wear curlers.. and the first time he saw them in my hair,, he was so excited..
I think the bottom line was.. i was a major tomboy...
oh well..
Dearest DIL,
With how I have seen God multiply money, gas, etc., I DO BELIEVE it is possible to be 120% blessed!

Susan,
Are you going on an Eastern or Western Caribbean Cruise? I don't know if you are familiar with the Berean Christian Bookstores in your area or not....Anyway, I was fortunate enough to win the Bookstore Give Away Cruise and am leaving in two weeks for the Eastern Caribbean! The only disappointment was that my husband could not come with me...so I'm taking my best friend. This trip was really short notice and since it is a chartered cruise...he could not get off work.!) I hope you have fun looking forward to your cruise because after all...that is half the fun!
