DS 4 and I went up to see my Dad tonight. He is doing much better. While we were there, he walked for the second time today. The bandages have been removed and he actually ate something solid tonight. We're moving along.
I appreciate all of you praying for him. I know those prayers DO make a difference.
I have always been keenly aware that the sincerity and attitude of the health care workers could "make or break" your hospital experience. It is becoming even more evident now. These people have been WONDERFUL! They are calm. They are kind. They are consistent. They smile.
If you know someone who works in health care....or you have experienced great health care....say "thank you". It's a small thing...and they deserve MUCH MORE....but a little "thank you" can go a long way.

Well...it's pretty much about the food, too, LOL! Be sure to take cookies or something in to your nurses. They love it! (It was also a great project for the kids).
We're continuing to pray.
Yes, health care. Like I told you that is why my daughter wanted to be a nurse but she found that being SO BUSY she could not be the nurse that she WANTED to be!! I am so thankful that things are going along the way they should be going...Sandy
The nurses do make all the difference. But I have also discovered that attitude of the patient and the patient's family make a difference too! I am so glad you father is getting good care and I am also glad he is doing well. You all continue to be in my prayers.
Hi I am glad to hear your dad is sdoing so well, he sounds strong.
I tried to post under the Thursday Thirteen but ran into a glitch.
Your TT was very good and I learned a lot about you...and you are understanding of your husbands calling which is good. You sound really postive after such a challenging week, that is really inspiring. Keep strong and look after yourself.
I will say another little prayer for you and to get through all these things on your TT list!
